Who is a good candidate for dental Implant?

Any adult person from age 18 can replace missing teeth with dental implant. Age doesn’t matter if you have controlled health condition ie. diabetes, bone disease or any systemic disease. Your health condition will be assessed prior to placement of dental Implant. In some case we way wait until your condition improved.

I am diabetic. Can I have dental Implant ?

Yes, If the diabetes is under control you could have dental implant. Blood sugar after 2 hours of meal 10 mmol/L and HBA1C should be below should me maintained. For uncontrolled diabetic patient Dental Implant is contraindicated and there is risk of failure of implant

I do have heart disease and taking blood thinner regular basis. Could I have Dental Implant

If u have history of heart disease underwent for treatment like angioplasty, valve replacement , pace make placement and taking blood thinner in regular basis there is no contraindication for having dental implant. If your heart problem under control we may make a plant for dental implant. We may stop your blood thinner medicine for few days to avoid excess bleeding during the surgery.
